THE MONKEYS HAVE NO TAILS IN ZAMBOANGA

First US edition. Publisher's original yellow cloth with red embossed illustrations to the upper board and black and yellow lettering to the spine, in dustwrapper. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, with some minor bumping to the corners and spine tips. The cloth with light toning to the left of the spine, are bright and fresh. The contents, with a previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown, are otherwise clean throughout without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that has a short closed to the lower spine and light toning along the upper edges. Not price clipped ($2.00 to the front and rear flaps). A lovely copy.

A collection of whimsical and humorous short stories set in a US army camp in the 1930s. (Bleiler; Locke; A Spectrum of Fantasy).
