A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm with minor rubbing and bumping to the corners and spine tips. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps.
A collection of short stories (some fantasy) and one play. Published posthumously by the author's widow for private circulation. This example inscribed by her in black ink on the front endpaper "Margaret Keynes / from Kate Wedgwood / March 1918". The recipient is the social reformer, magistrate and the first woman councillor of Cambridge (becoming Mayor in 1932) Margaret Neville Keynes Hill. Her elder brother was the economist John Maynard Keynes. The author, a keen mountaineer and Captain in the British Army was killed in active service during the First World War (March 1917).
