First edition. Signed by the author. Publisher's original illustrated card covers, with black titles to the spine. 58pp. Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece, seven colour and 41 black and white plates. Text in English and French. A near fine copy, the binding firm with light rubbing and creasing to the extremities, the upper spine with a small short closed tear extending onto the upper panel, and a few light red marks to the centre of the upper cover. The contents are clean throughout and free from inscriptions or stamps.

Signed by David Hockney in red ink on the title page, with a score through his printed name. Published in conjunction with the exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, in the Palais du Louvre from 11th October - 9th December 1974. The retrospective exhibition featured 30 paintings (three produced in Paris before the exhibition, including 'Two Vases in the Louvre' and 'Contrejour in the French style - against the day dans le style Francais' which are reproduced on the catalogue covers) and 75 drawings created between 1962 - 1974. With an introduction by Stephen Spender and an interview between David Hockney and Pierre Restany. Scarce in signed state.
