First edition. Inscribed by the author. Original purple cloth with gilt titles to the upper board and spine, in dustwrapper. A very good copy, the boards a little bowed, the contents with light spotting on the title page. Complete with the very good lightly creased and spine-faded dustwrapper. Not price-clipped.

Inscribed in black ink on the front free endpaper "With Best Wishes from the Artist / Helen Bradley M. B. E. / Christmas 1978" with a small drawing of a fly underneath which she has inscribed "Nellie Bly / Caught a fly!!"
