First edition, first printing. Original navy cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated throughout with black and white photographs. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the boards with a few minor bumps and marks. The contents, with a gift inscription to the front free endpaper, are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the rubbed and creased original dustwrapper which is a little toned to the spine.

Published on the occasion of the exhibition 'The Sculpture and Drawings of Henri Matisse' which was launched in 1984 at the City Art Centre in Edinburgh before travelling to London and Leeds.
