First edition. Publisher's original bevelled blue cloth with gilt title and a floral design to the spine, titles in black and gilt, an illustration of a lady in colour, and an oval bevelled mirror inlaid on the upper board. The binding is by R. Peck (the British Bookmaker, vol iv. no 39. p13). All edges gilt. Decorated endpapers. Illustrated throughout. Illustrated with colour plates by Kate Craufurd. A very good copy, the binding firm, the extremities with a little wear, the mirror with a few scratches. The contents, with spotting to the prelims, offsetting to the half title, and names written in nine of the dates in a child's hand (one of which is dated 1933), are otherwise clean and complete.

A beautiful birthday book, each month accompanied by an illustration of a lady dressed in the colours of the month's birthstone, and a short prophetic verse for every day of the year.
