Early edition with these illustrations. Publisher's original orange cloth with black titles to the spine and upper board, in the pictorial dustwrapper. Illustrated with five black and white photographs by F. W. Burford of actors in costume during Herbert Beerbohm Tree's stage production of Oliver Twist at His Majesty's Theatre, London in 1905. A lovely very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the very lightly rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that is mildly faded to the spine. Not price-clipped (2/6 on the front flap). Uncommon in this condition.
