First edition, first printing. Publisher's original red cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with a minor bump to the bottom corner of the upper board, the cloth with a small white mark on the upper board. The contents, with two short pen marks on the front free endpaper, the occasional spot throughout and a mark to the margins of pages 16-17, and a splash to page 20, are otherwise clean. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked original dustwrapper which is a little toned at the spine and is otherwise without loss or tears. Not price-clipped (12s 6d on the front flap).
