First edition, first printing. Publisher's original red cloth with gilt lettering to the spine, in the John Andrew designed dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with a small 'Foyles' paper label to the bottom left corner of the front pastedown, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. The top edge of the closed text block is spotted. Complete with the very slightly nicked and toned dustwrapper that remains without loss or tears Not price-clipped (21s net to the lower front flap).
