First edition, first printing. A paperback original. Publisher's pictorial card covers. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with a little rubbing and age related spotting to the extremities. The contents with a previous owner's inscription at the head of the title page and small shelf stamp to the blank inside of the upper cover are otherwise clean throughout but with the unavoidable toning of the poor quality paper stock.
There is a legend of olden time that the Devil is not a fallen archangel at all, but a woman with flaxen hair and green eyes- a beautiful creature with an angel face, who can bend innocent young men to her will, and bring them to their doom. Larry Cole never heard of this legend. He lived it. (publisher's blurb). Gil Brewer was the author of dozens of sleazy crime novels, this being one of his first. He also wrote under the names of Eric Fitzgerald, Bailey Morgan, and Elaine Evans. (Hubin).
