Publisher's original brown cloth with titles in gilt to the upper board and spine. 549pp. Illustrated throughout with drawings and photographs of a wide variety of items of clothing, largely in black and white, although with the occasional image in colour, as well as a series of plates depicting the firms various factories and warehouses. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm with a few minor marks. The contents with a little toning are otherwise clean and bright throughout.

An extensive and well-illustrated Edwardian clothing catalogue issued by the prominent Nottingham firm I. & R. Morley offering everything from bathing tents to ostrich feather boas, with sections dedicated to socks, stockings, underwear, pyjamas, shirts, skirts, dresses, fascinators, vests, boots, capes, cardigans, collars, golf jackets, hair nets, cravats, sporting jerseys, petticoats, scarfs and shawls, children's clothes, sweaters, caps, gloves, parasols, umbrellas, waterproof garments, corsets, furs, braids, buttons, bags and trunks, ties, braces, belts, aprons, towels, dressing gowns, négligé, and much else besides. A splendid insight into the commercial side of fashion in early twentieth century.
