A FRENCH ALPHABET

First edition. Original beige cloth with red titles to the spine and upper board with a blue and red juggler design to the upper board, in dustwrapper. Illustrated throughout with colourful, classically 1940s images of animals, people, and objects, alongside their French names. A very good copy, the binding firm, the cloth clean and bright with only a tiny spot to the lower board. The first seven pages have had English translations written beside the French, but after this point the pages are clean and bright. In the original rubbed and nicked pictorial dustwrapper, which has short closed tear to the front panel's upper spine hinge. Not price clipped (8s 6d net to front flap).
