An illustration for Andelicek z Baroku [Little Baroque Angel] by Josef Hais Tıneckı published by J. Otto, Prague in 1929 (appearing on page 43 of the first edition). The drawing itself measures 13cm x 11cm while the sheet of paper measures 29.5cm x 21.5cm. With two gallery ink stamps to the back. Signed in pencil to the lower right. Rare.
Mucha is known for his distinctive strong, sweeping, curved lines and natural motifs. His work has become the most loved and recognised representation of Art Nouveau, and continues to have a lasting impact on visual arts today.
