First edition, first printing. Original mid-blue cloth with black titles to the spine, in the correct Eileen Soper illustrated dustwrapper. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and full page line drawings throughout by Eileen Soper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with bumping to the edges of the thin boards, the blue cloth mottled, as often, and with a small circular burn? mark to the lower board. The contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the rubbed and nicked original dustwrapper which has a few short closed tears with associated creasing to the edges and a small nick near the author's name on the spine. There is a gift inscription to the blank portion of the front flap otherwise the dustwrapper is clean and bright. Correctly priced 5/- net to the front flap.
