HOW TO SKI AND HOW NOT TO

First edition, first printing of this classic of early ski technique. Publisher's original pictorial blue cloth, blocked in grey and yellow. Illustrated with 15 pages of photographs by K. Delap and line drawings and diagrams throughout the text. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, sympathetically and skilfully rebacked with the original spine laid down. The binding illustration is a little rubbed and flaked at the edges. The contents with replaced blue blank endpapers and a little spotting to the prelims are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. With three pages of adverts at the rear, as issued. An attractive example.

The rare first edition of an important early work of English ski literature, written by Vivian Caulfeild, pioneer ski instructor and one of the greatest authorities on technique.
