PEER GYNT

First edition with Arthur Rackham illustrations. Publisher's deluxe binding of full brown morocco, stamped in blind to the upper panel and with titles in gilt to the spine. Colour frontispiece and 11 further colour plates, each with a captioned tissue guard. Illustrated endpapers and black and white illustrations throughout the text. A lovely near fine copy, the binding square and tight showing only minimal rubbing to the spine tips and corners. The contents with a small unobtrusive previous owner's name to the front endpaper are otherwise spotlessly clean throughout.

A lovely example of this beautifully illustrated gift book, in the scarce publisher's deluxe binding and particularly so in brown morocco (usually encountered in green and of different blocking).
