Limited edition. Two volumes. Publisher's original brown patterned paper covered boards, parchment spines with titles in gilt. With 53 collotype illustrations after William Blake throughout. An excellent near fine set, the bindings square and firm with just minor rubbing to the extremities. The contents with a little offsetting to the endpaper of volume one are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. A very attractive example.
One of 1450 copies on Van Gelder rag paper, printed in the Italic type of Blado by Walter Lewis, printer of Cambridge University Press. The title page border and arabesque ornaments designed by Douglas Percy Bliss.
