The autobiography of the iconic Italian fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, who, along with her rival Coco Chanel, was one of the most prominent and innovate shapers of fashion and style in the period between wars. This title details Schiaparelli's fascinating, eccentric life; the inner workings of the early 20th century fashion world; and also her many glamorous connections with artists and celebrities such as Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, Wallis Simpson, Katherine Hepburn, Pablo Picasso, and Salvador Dali.
