ST. MARK'S REST: The History of Venice. Written for the help of the few travellers who still care for her monuments.

Reprint. Hand painted Venetian binding of full vellum, decorated with foliate scrolls in multiple colours and with calligraphic titles. Yapped edges. White leather ties. Marbled endpapers. A very good copy, the binding firm with a little dust-soiling to the vellum and some wear to the ties. The contents with a contemporary owner's pencil inscription to the front endpaper, light scattered foxing to the preliminary pages and toning to page edges are otherwise in very good order and clean throughout.

A charming copy of Ruskin's guide to the city of Venice.
