Elaborate gilt turn-ins. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Illustrated with more than 70 black and white drawings and maps by the author. A near fine copy, the binding square and tight with a minor rubbing to the joints and a touch of fading to the spine. The contents with a few small spots of foxing to the endpapers are otherwise clean and bright throughout. An attractive copy.
