First UK edition, first printing. Original black cloth, silver lettering to the spine, with dustwrapper. A better than very good copy, the binding sharp, tight and square. Light spotting to the top- and fore-edges of the page block, otherwise the contents remain bright and clean, without marks or inscriptions. The very good dustwrapper is a little rubbed and scuffed with a 9cm wide x 1cm deep crease/tear at the foot of the front panel, otherwise clean and without loss. Not price-clipped and correctly priced (£5.95 net) to the front flap. A sharp, attractive copy of the unusually scarce UK edition.
First published by Macmillan, New York in 1967. The Hale edition was its first appearance this side of the Atlantic.
