First edition, first printing. Original teal cloth with titles to the spine in gilt, in the Lynton Lamb illustrated dustwrapper. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth slightly rubbed at the extremities. The contents, with a spot to the bottom corner of the text block edge and a few light foxing spots to the endpapers at the gutter, are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owners' marks. Complete with the very good lightly rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that has a few tiny closed tears to the extremities which have be repaired to the underside with small pieces of tape. Not price clipped (11s 6d to the front flap).
