Full late nineteenth-century vellum by Bumpus Ltd., Oxford Street. Florentine iris device in gilt to the upper board and titles in gilt to the spine. All edges gilt. Pale blue marbled endpapers. A very good or better copy, the binding tight with a little marking to the vellum. The contents with the engraved bookplate of Edith Hood, light scattered foxing and toning to page edges are otherwise in very good order.
A charming, attractively bound nineteenth-century pocket edition of Dante's Divine Comedy.
