First edition, first state, bound from the original parts. Late 19th Century green half morocco by Riviere, London. Five raised bands, decorated compartments and titles in gilt to the spine. Nine line slip discussing the erroneous use of "Rigaud" for "Blandois" present here at p.465. An excellent tall copy, the binding in fine condition, the spine with a touch of fading. The contents with spotting to the endpapers, less so to the prelims are otherwise clean throughout. The plates with some darkening at the margin edges only.
