First edition, first printing. Original black cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the Deborah McMillion-Nering illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth fresh. The contents, with some faint spotting to the closed text-block edge, are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed dustwrapper which is a little toned to the spine.

Limited to 500 copies. The collected supernatural works of the American writer and journalist Mary Heaton Vorse (1874-1966), best known for her involvement with workers' and women's rights movements in the early 20th century as both a journalist and an activist.
