First edition, first printing. Inscribed by the author. Publisher's original yellow cloth with black titles to the spine and upper board. With a frontispiece illustration in black and white by Charles Sykes, the creator of the 'Spirit of Ecstasy' Rolls Royce mascot. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth a little darkened and dusty to the spine and board edges. The contents, a little toned to the margins and with a very faint, small '3' in green pencil to the front free endpaper, are otherwise clean throughout. No dustwrapper.
Inscribed by the author in black ink on the half title, reading: "To / Harry Luken / with smiles / H Dennis Bradley / April 1931". Provenance: from the library of Martin Stone.
