First edition, first printing. Original black cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the Deborah McMillion-Nering illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth fresh. There is some faint spotting to the closed text-block edge, the contents are otherwise clean and bright throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed and spotted dustwrapper which is a little toned to the spine.

Limited to 500 copies. A collection of six short stories first published in 'London Magazine' in 1904 by the English journalist and writer Harold Begbie about a man who can access a 'dream world' which is just as real as the waking world. Number four in the Ash Tree Occult Detectives series.
