THE TRAVELLER Or, An Entertaining Journey Round the Habitable Globe; Being an Easy and Novel Method of Studying Geography.

Third edition. Publisher's original quarter roan over printed paper-covered boards with gilt titles to the spine. Illustrated with 2 maps and 44 engravings across 22 plates (complete). A very good copy, the binding tight and square with rubbing to the boards and wear to the extremities. The contents with one slightly loose gathering which protrudes from the text-block, a contemporary previous owner's signature to the front pastedown, a small tear to one plate (not affecting the image), and some occasional marking to page edges, are otherwise clean throughout. A nice example, with very bright boards and spine.

A global tour for the Georgian child contained in one neat volume, enlivened with a wonderful series of engravings depicting 'views of the principal capital cities of the world, and the costume of its various inhabitants'.
