First edition, first printing. Signed by the author. Original tan cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated with black and white in-text line drawings by Peter Emmerich. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the contents, with a little spotting to the text block edges and light offsetting to the endpapers, are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the original lightly rubbed and creased illustrated dustwrapper which has a little wear to the front spine hinge. Not price clipped (12s. 6d. net to the front flap).
