First edition, first printing. Signed by the author. Original orange cloth with gilt lettering to the spine, in the dustwrapper illustrated by Steve Martin. A near fine copy, the binding tight and square, lightly pushed to spine tips and slightly bumped to the top corners. The contents remain clean, without inscriptions or stamps. The neatly price-clipped dustwrapper is moderately faded to the spine. There is some minor staining to the upper inside edge of the front panel and flap (not, however, visible from the front).

Signed in black ink to the title page. The author's third novel.
