First edition, first printing. Large paper issue. Publisher's original green cloth with with gilt titles to the spine, in the pictorial dustwrapper. With 20 illustrations in colour by the author throughout. An attractive very good copy, the binding clean and square, the cloth with a few tiny fading spots at the spine corners. The contents, with a gift inscription and ownership name to the front endpaper and light spotting to the prelims, are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the rubbed and nicked, price-clipped dustwrapper that has several tiny chips and short closed tears with little in the way of the loss and some spotting to the flaps.
