First edition, first printing. Publisher's original burgundy cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the Jarvis illustrated dustwrapper. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean. Previous owners initials neatly in ink to the upper edge of the front free endpaper. A little wear to upper and lower spine edges, the gilt ruling there a touch rubbed. Light spotting to the upper page block edge. Complete with the bright dustwrapper, rubbed, nicked and with a few short closed tears to edges, tips and corners. Not price-clipped (10/6 net to the lower front flap).
