First edition, first printing. Signed by the author. Original purple paper-covered board with gilt titles to the spine, in the John Anster Fitzgerald illustrated dustwrapper. Housed in a matching slipcase. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean and bright throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the original dustwrapper which is lightly rubbed and creased at the edges, with a nick to the foot of the front flap. The slipcase is lightly rubbed and faded at the extremities.

Issued in a limited edition of 500 copies, this example in numbered 186 and signed by Elizabeth Hand in black ink on the limitation page. A collection of four novellas, including the International Horror Guild Award winning 'Pavane for a Prince of the Air'.
