First edition, first printing. Publisher's original brown cloth boards with black titles to the upper board and spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and black and white illustrations by R.J. MacDonald. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. The text block edges are a little dusty. Complete with the bright original dustwrapper that is faded to the red lettering on the spine and with a piece of tape to a short closed tear at the bottom of the upper panel and three more to the spine tips and one corner of the underside. Not price-clipped (7s 6d net to the front flap). An attractive example.
