The contents, with foxing to the endpapers and closed text block edge, are otherwise clean and without inscriptions or stamps. The first of thirteen Hubin listed detective novels written under the Raymond Armstrong pseudonym. The author, a British screen-writer and film director also wrote under the names Mark Corrigan and Robertson Hobart. (Hubin).
