First edition, first printing. Publisher's original orange cloth with black titles and border to the upper board and spine, in the Richard Charles illustrated dustwrapper. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm although a touch bumped at the corners, the cloth fresh and bright. The contents with a previous owner's bookplate and shelf stamp to the front pastedown, and his ownership inscription and acquisition date at the head of the title page are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that has several short closed tears but remains without loss. With the publisher's printed price of 7/6 net to the spine, covered with a 2/6 paper label.
