First edition, limited to 300 copies. Publisher's original staple bound white paper covers with black titles to the front panel and publishing information to the rear. Illustrated throughout with 19 full colour images of leaves collected from around a lake. Unpaginated. 20 pages. A near fine copy, the paper covers clean and free from fading, loss or tears. Contents are clean throughout, with a little rusting to the staples, which has not bled to the pages, the binding is tight and pages are free from creases and bumping. A very crisp copy of this early artist book by the multi-award winning artist Richard Long.
The first edition of this publication is scarce in commerce, a second edition (of 500 copies) was issued in 1975. Richard Long is the only artist to have been short-listed four times for the Turner Prize. He was nominated in 1984, 1987 and 1988, and then won the award in 1989 for White Water Line.
