First edition, first printing. Publisher's original red cloth boards and gilt titles to the spine, in the John Rose illustrated dustwrapper. A very good or better copy, the binding firm and square with very mild bumping at the corners, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with toning to the closed text block edge, and a faint strip of offsetting to the endpapers, are otherwise clean throughout and free from inscriptions or stamps. Complete with lightly rubbed dustwrapper that is spotted and dust marked to the rear panel and underside, and otherwise without fading, loss or tears. Unpriced to the front flap, for export.
