First edition, first printing. Publisher's original black cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the Bill Botten illustrated dustwrapper. A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm with a little bumping at the spine tips, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with a couple of isolated foxing spots to the margins are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the bright first state dustwrapper that has a few scuffs and brown marks to the underside (not visible to the printed side), and is otherwise without fading, loss or tears. Not price-clipped (£3.95 to the lower front flap. Later states have a publisher's sticker priced £5.95 over the top).
A novelisation of the 1979 film Moonraker, written under licence from Ian Fleming's copyright holders Glidrose Productions. The hardcover was produced with a small print-run, the majority of which were sold into the public library system, a fate the present example escaped. A paperback edition was issued by Triad / Panther books later the same year.
