First edition, first printing. Original orange cloth with titles in black to the spine and upper board and an illustration in black to the spine, in dustwrapper. With a black and white frontispiece illustration. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth clean, with a slight bump to the foot of the spine. The contents, with a school award plate (dated 1934) to the front pastedown and a few tiny spots to the text block edges, are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the lightly rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrapper that has a very short closed tear to the top of the front spine fold, and shows a little dustiness. Clipped and repriced by the publisher to the front flap. An attractive example.
