First edition, first printing. Original green cloth with silver titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated throughout with black and white line drawings by Geoffrey Whittam. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, with minor pushing to the board corners and light rubbing to the edges. The contents, with light spotting to the text block edges, endpapers, and infrequently to the margins and a tiny numerical stamp the the corner of the rear pastedown, are otherwise clean. Complete with the original illustrated scuffed and creased dustwrapper which has some short closed tears to the edges, chipping to the head of the spine, and some tape repairs to the inside. Not price-clipped (10s. 6d. to the front flap).

The eighth Punchbowl Farm series. Edwards and her husband owned a farm of the same name as the fictional farm, where they kept a herd of Jersey cows.
