This newly illustrated edition follows the text of the 1982 Doubleday edition, 'The Foundation Trilogy', with minor emendations. Originally published as a series of short stories and novellas by Astounding Magazine from 1942-1950 and later in book form by Gnome Press from 1951-1953. The Foundation Trilogy won the Hugo Award for 'Best All-Time Series' in 1966.
