First UK edition, first printing. Original orange cloth with black titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with some bumping to the extremities, the cloth with a slither of fading at the head of the spine is otherwise bright and fresh. The contents, faintly spotted to the endpapers and half title are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. The top edge of the closed text block is a little dusty and spotted. Complete with the rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that is faintly damp-marked to the rear panel and flap edges. The underside has a small piece of tape at the spine ends and fold corners and more noticable damp marking to the spine. Not price-clipped (8s 6d net to the lower front flap).
