First Rackham illustrated edition. Original paper-covered red cloth with black titles and decorations to spine. Front and rear boards decorated with white, black and pink silhouettes and titles, in dustwrapper. Illustrated endpapers. One mounted tipped-in colour plate, 3 double-page silhouette drawings with colour, 8 single-page silhouette drawings in black and white and 41 drawings throughout the text. A very good copy, the binding is square and firm, the extremities lightly bumped and worn, the boards lightly marked. The contents are entirely complete, with some very light, infrequent spotting internally and to the text block edge. The tipped in colour plate is in perfect condition without creasing. Complete with the rubbed, nicked, toned and creased dustwrapper tha has a large chip at the head of the slightly darkened spine.
