First edition, first printing. Original green and cream cloth with gilt titles to the spine, lacking the dustwrapper. An attractive very good copy, the cloth ever so lightly rubbed and bumped to the extremities. The contents are clean and complete and the red top-stain bright and unfaded. There is a previous owner's inscription to the front free endpaper. Illustrated throughout with drawings by G.D.Armour and etchings and tailpieces by "BB" D.J.Watkins-Pitchford.
