First edition with these illustrations and first collected edition. Limited edition, one of 26 lettered copies. Signed by the author. Publisher's original brown faux 'leather' with metallic red titles to the spine, in the Vincent Chong illustrated dustwrapper. Brown leather solander box. Illustrated with five full page colour plates by Vincent Chong (not present in the regular limited edition. A fine copy, the binding square and tight, the contents clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the fine dustwrapper that is without fading, loss or tears. Housed in the fine, very lightly rubbed tray case, with titles in bronze and red to the backstrip.

Issued in a limited edition of 26 lettered copies, this example is lettered 'N' and signed by Paolo Bacigalupi in blue ink on the limitation page. There were further editions of 200 (1-200) and 300 copies (201-500) issued. The author's debut novel, a work of biopunk science fiction that won the 2010 Nebula Award, Hugo Award (jointly with China Miéville's 'The City and the City'), Campbell Memorial Award and Locus Award for best first novel. The volume includes two further stories, the Hugo Award nominated 'Yellow Card Man' and 'The Calorie Man' to which the author adds an introduction.
