First edition, first printing. Inscribed presentation copy. Publisher's original purple cloth with gilt titles to the upper board and spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated in black and white throughout the text. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm with a little toning to the binding extremities. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the rubbed and nicked price-clipped dustwrapper which has a few closed tears at the edges but remains bright.

Limited edition of 100 copies of which this is hand numbered 41/100 and signed by Henry Miller and Robert Snyder in black ink on the title page. Further inscribed in gold pen on the front endpaper "For Robbie Robertson / A Fan of Henry Miller is a friend of mine, with admiration / Robert Snyder / 1.11.89". The recipient is the Canadian musician, actor and author best known for his work as lead guitarist and songwriter for "The Band".
