TILL WE HAVE FACES

First edition, first printing. Original blue cloth with titles in gilt to the spine, in the "Biggs" illustrated dustwrapper. An excellent very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Top edge of text block a little dusty, small bookseller's ticket to the bottom left corner of the rear pastedown. Complete with the lightly rubbed dustwrapper which is entirely without loss showing a few light foxing spots to the rear panel and extreme edge of the flaps. Correctly priced 15s net to the front flap. An attractive example.

The author considered this novel, retelling the myth of Cupid and Psyche, to be his most accomplished work, an opinion echoed by J. R. R. Tolkien.
