First UK edition, first printing. Original black cloth lettered in silver to the spine, in the dustwrapper designed by Dave Griffiths. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents, except for a few spots to the fore-edge and light stains to the margins of a handful of pages to the margins, are clean throughout. The bright, unfaded dustwrapper is, except for the lightest shelfwear, very near fine. Not price-clipped, the original price covered with the publisher's own sticker (£3.25 net). A very presentable copy of the uncommon Faber edition.
The UK edition of 'To Die in Italbar' followed the 1973 US edition. "A feverish intergalactic search for the Shadowy Mr H, who, it seems, is capable either of the saviour's healing touch or the leper's clasp of death, is sparked off when whole worlds are suddenly threatened by mysterious, raging pandemics. The stakes are high –no less than power over life and death – and the most gifted minds of civilization join the hunt" (from the jacket).
