First edition, first printing. Inscribed by the author. Publisher's original duo-tone navy and orange textured cloth, in dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm. The contents a bright and clean save for a little offsetting to pages 92-3 where a scrap of newspaper has been loosely laid in. Complete with the original lightly rubbed and creased Sax illustrated dustwrapper with a painting of the author by Cynthia Montefiore to the rear panel, which has one tiny closed tear to the front flap hinge. Not price clipped (18s net to the front flap).

Inscribed by the author in blue ink on the title page "For / Ernest Rasdall / With all kind thoughts / from / Dennis Wheatley".
